Isabella Necessity on her Story Bicycle - A pedal pushing storyteller
Isabella is a bicycling botanist who loves to share stories from her incredible journeys around the world with the people she meets along the way.
Isabella has flown with the blue butterflies of Brazil, outwitted trolls in the fjords of Norway, learnt Kung-Fu on the Mountain of Kunyu and rested in a robin’s nest on Dartmoor. With delightful storytelling, gorgeous illustrations, unexpected wonders and a handsome Story Bicycle called Dilys, Isabella will whisk you away to another world.
Isabella's latest show 'How to be Brave' tells stories of remarkable children Isabella has met on her travels. Find out if they were brave or just plain foolish? Either way, expect magic, silliness and a fine tale told in 45 Minutes of family friendly wonder!
“Isabella’s Story Bicycle was an enchanting, captivating and intricate piece of performance that worked beautifully as part of our story and puppetry weekend.”
Isabella travels to fairs, festivals and streets, museums libraries and theatres, markets, fields and kitchens all around the country. Most recently seen at Cheltenham Literature Festival, Camp Bestival, Port Eliot Literary Festival, Nottingham Riverside Festival and Hastings Storytelling Festival. Working with event organisers she finds the best way forward for each new occasion.
